The Greatest Mystery
When He was only 12 years old, Jesus confounded the most brilliant religious minds of His day. Ever since, He has continued to intrigue, challenge, and sometimes infuriate those who find God the ultimate subject for speculation.
This site will tackle a variety of timeless issues. The articles, many of which were originally published on Suite 101, will include some of my own thoughts, heavily bolstered by the arguments of much more brilliant Christian minds.
Two of my favorites are C. S. Lewis and G. K. Chesterton, literary geniuses who started out as an atheist and an agnostic respectively--before they were, in Lewis' words, "surprised by joy."
"Inklings" refers, of course,to the literary group known by that name which included such to-become-famous writers as C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, and Charles Williams. It is, however, generally extended to include other well-known authors who influenced or were influenced by them, including G. K. Chesterton, Dorothy Sayers, George MacDonald, etc.
My purpose in writing these articles is not only to give my own opinion on a subject, but to bring together the thoughts of many other Christian authors on that particular topic. Like Chesterton and Sayers, I'm a mystery writer, not a theologian. But, also like them, I find that I can't resist the greatest mystery of all!
